Mohammed Kudus, the Black Stars’ talisman, has admitted that the team is dissatisfied and frustrated with the results of the two AFCON qualifying matches against Sudan.
The Black Stars captain, Mohammed Kudus, has spoken out about how the squad feels after losing both of its AFCON qualifying matches to Sudan.
During the October international break, Ghana played to a goalless draw against Sudan at home and lost the away match 2-0.
The outcome has angered numerous Ghanaians, blaming the players for their perceived lack of dedication to the national team.
In his apology letter to Ghanaians, Mohammed Kudus acknowledged that the Black Stars players are also disappointed and frustrated with the outcomes.
“Despite our utmost effort and dedication, the results did not reflect our aspirations or our pride in representing our beloved nation. We understand the disappointment and frustration this has caused, and we share those feelings,” Mohammed Kudus said.
The Black Stars stand-in captain continued, “We want to assure Ghanaians that we are committed to learning from our mistakes, regrouping, and working tirelessly to restore the Black Stars to our former glory. We value the unwavering support and loyalty you’ve shown us, and we’re determined to make you proud once again.”
Mohammed Kudus implored fans to support the Black Stars during this difficult time in his apology letter.
“We urge all fans to stand by us during this challenging period. Your encouragement and faith in us will fuel our determination to succeed. We will not give up,” Mohammed Kudus said.
