The meeting was held at the GFA headquarters while preparations for the tournament, hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, continued to build.

The award-winning duo—twin brothers Michael Boafo (B2) and Tony Boafo (Twist)—discussed possible collaborative initiatives with Simeon-Okraku to support Ghana football and build excitement ahead of the Mundial.

They discussed how music and entertainment could boost the Black Stars’ World Cup campaign and help promote local football.

Both sides shared ideas on how music could bring fans together, inspire patriotism, and foster nationwide support for Ghana’s national team ahead of the World Cup.

Simeon-Okraku welcomed the duo and praised their achievements in music, highlighting their creativity, consistency, and growing influence in Ghana and abroad.

He also mentioned DopeNation’s hit song Kakalika, calling it a cultural phenomenon that has resonated with audiences in Ghana and beyond.

The GFA president encouraged the brothers to keep the unity that has helped them succeed, stressing that discipline, teamwork, and shared goals are key to staying excellent.

He also said he was hopeful about working with the duo as Ghana gets ready for what should be an exciting World Cup.

“Football and music are two of Ghana’s strongest expressions of national pride and identity. Bringing both together can inspire the nation and positively project Ghana on the global stage,” Simeon-Okraku said.

B2, speaking for the group, thanked the GFA president for the warm welcome and the valuable conversation.

He repeated DopeNation’s promise to support Ghana’s World Cup preparations, especially through entertainment and activities that bring fans together behind the Black Stars.

B2 also shared that the duo wants to help promote and develop local football, showing their ambition to play a real part in Ghana’s football growth.
