The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has unveiled the complete lineup of referees and assistant referees selected to officiate matches in the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.
Leading the group is seasoned referee Daniel Laryea, who, along with his fellow officials, has excelled in meeting all mandatory selection requirements ahead of the new campaign.
The list features five FIFA male referees and six FIFA male assistant referees, as well as four FIFA female referees and four FIFA female assistant referees.
The officiating pool has grown with the addition of five promising officials from the Catch Them Young Refereeing Program and five Support Premier Assistant Referees, creating a diverse and robust team for the upcoming season.
To gear up for the season, all selected referees and assistants will gather at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram for an intensive training course from Monday, September 7 to Thursday, September 10, 2026.
This program aims to hone the officials’ physical and technical skills, ensuring they deliver consistent and fair decisions throughout the season.
The training will also equip referees to meet the challenges of another fiercely competitive Premier League season and uphold the high standards expected of match officials.
This announcement adds to the growing excitement as the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season approaches, with the official kickoff set for Saturday, September 5, 2026.
