Black Stars forward Prince Adu Kwabena has promised to help Ghana come back stronger after the team was knocked out in the Round of 32 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Black Stars’ World Cup run ended with a close 1-0 loss to Colombia in Kansas City, which stopped them from moving on in the tournament.
Adu Kwabena came on as a substitute in the second half but could not stop Ghana from being eliminated. Even though the result was disappointing, the striker, who plays in the Czech Republic, is still hopeful about the team’s future.
Taking to social media, the former Bechem United forward thanked supporters for their unwavering backing and promised a stronger response in the years ahead.
“We would have loved to continue the journey. We gave it our all right to the very end.
“Thank you to the fans for your unwavering support. Thank you to the staff and the whole team for fighting and giving everything they had.
“Representing Ghana at the World Cup is a source of immense pride. It is a lifelong goal and the dream of every footballer. Count on us to come back even stronger, driven by the desire to take our colours to even greater heights.”
The 22-year-old has now returned to Ghana for a short break before he goes back to his club for pre-season training.
The Black Stars will play again in October when they start their qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
