Patrice Motsepe sends condolences following tragic death of Dominic Frimpong

Patrice Motsepe, President of the Confederation of African Football, has sent his condolences to Berekum Chelsea after winger Dominic Frimpong died in a suspected armed robbery.

The 20-year-old died after the team bus was attacked on the way back from a Ghana Premier League match.

Dr. Motsepe wrote a letter to Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association, expressing his deep sorrow about the incident.

“It is with profound sadness that I learned of the armed robbery attack on the bus of Berekum Chelsea, which claimed the life of Dominic Frimpong,” he stated.

He also shared his sympathies, on behalf of himself and CAF, with the family, teammates, and everyone connected to the young player.

“Please convey my personal and CAF’s deepest condolences to the family, friends, and teammates of Dominic Frimpong, as well as to the Ghana Football Association,” he added.

Dr. Motsepe offered prayers and support to the wider Ghanaian football community during this difficult time.

“May God grant comfort and strength to his loved ones and the entire Ghanaian football family. CAF stands with you during this painful time,” he said.

The Ghana Football Association is working with the police and other authorities as the investigation continues. Officials have called for those responsible to be brought to justice.
