King Faisal’s financier, Alhaji Grunsah, alleges he has proof of match-fixing in the Ghana Premier League and intends to reveal the perpetrators.
While the Ghana Football Association has taken steps to eliminate match manipulators, the football administrator acknowledges that such activities remain and need to be addressed.
“This season’s league is very bad,” Grusah lamented. “I have evidence of fixed games played in the Ghana Premier League, and some of the clubs involved have started begging.
“I have evidence of three or four fixed matches in the league,” he told Asempa FM.
“I want an independent observer or body to give the final judgment,” he added.
Authorities are expected to investigate any possible irregularities closely, as Ghana strives for improved game standards, even as the alleged culprits remain unidentified.
Grunsah has his sights set on returning his team to the top flight following their demotion in the last two seasons.
