Shatta Wale has given $100,000 to the Black Stars World Cup fundraising campaign, helping to support Ghana’s efforts for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The donation was announced at a fundraising event at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra, where individuals and companies also pledged support for Ghana’s preparations.
Shatta Wale’s donation comes after Stonebwoy pledged $101,000, offering both cash and music services. The money will help Ghanaian fans travel to the tournament in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Engineers & Planners, owned by Ibrahim Mahama, also pledged $5 million. Gold Fields promised $2 million and will add another $1 million next year.
President John Dramani Mahama, who started the campaign, also said the government will help TV stations get broadcast rights so everyone in the country can watch.
Ghana is in Group L with England, Croatia, and Panama. The team will play its first match against Panama on June 17 in Toronto.
