Jordan Ayew of Ghana leads the assists chart in the current African World Cup qualifying matches for 2026.
With four assists in six games, the Leicester City striker leads the chart after his hat-trick during Black Stars’ 3-0 win against Madagascar Monday night at Morocco’s Al Hoceima Grand Stadium.
Jordan Ayew set up both of Thomas Partey’s goals, one from a free kick and the other from a corner.
He also contributed to Mohammed Kudus’ fantastic goal, securing Ghana’s victory over Madagascar.
Last Friday at the Accra Sports Stadium, Ayew’s assist helped Ernest Nuamah score in Ghana’s 5-0 victory against Chad, preceding this.
Despite assisting a goal, Jordan Ayew found the back of the net against the Chadians.
Leading the goal charts with six goals, Mohamed Salah, the forward for Egypt and Liverpool, has the chance to add to his total when Egypt plays Sierra Leone on Tuesday.
Having played in the 2014 and 2022 World Cups, Jordan Ayew aims for a third appearance in 2026, pending Ghana’s qualification.
The Black Stars, the Group I leaders, will next play Chad away and Mali at home in September’s World Cup qualifiers (Matchdays 7 & 8).
