Sports and Recreation Minister Kofi Adams wasted no time getting started with his new role when he met some stakeholders in the sporting industry.
The Minister and Ghana Football Association (GFA) officials held a vital meeting on Monday, February 10.
The crucial meeting followed President John Dramani Mahama’s admonition for the Minister of Sports to reform Ghanaian sports through engagement with the Ghana FA.
During his swearing-in, the President said, “I expect you will prioritize the development of all sports disciplines.” As he swore in the new Minister of Sports, President Mahama made the following statement: “I know the Ghana Football Association would be a good place to start to ensure that we return the Black Stars to their glory days.”
To reform the country’s sports, Kofi Adams plans to engage with other stakeholders through various means.
The new government has charged the Minister with reviving the Black Stars and ensuring the overall flourishing of sports.
