CAF has secured new media and TV rights agreements for the upcoming 2024-25 season of CAF Interclub Competitions.
These agreements encompass broadcasting rights in Sub-Saharan Africa for both pay TV and free-to-air channels.
The agreements encompass Africa’s premier club tournaments:
- CAF Champions League
- CAF Confederation Cup
- CAF Women’s Champions League
- CAF Super Cup
Following a competitive bidding process, CAF has partnered with: - SuperSport International – Pay TV rights (English)
- South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) – Free-to-Air rights
- Azam Media – Free-to-Air rights
Dr. Patrice Motsepe, President of CAF, emphasized the increasing attention African football is receiving, drawing major broadcasters.

With viewership on the rise, this decision has been made. The North African region experienced a significant rise in TV viewership for the 2023-24 CAF Champions League, reaching over 25%, a testament to the excitement and potential of the CAF Interclub Competitions.
The growth in East and Southern Africa was even more impressive, with both TV viewership and digital engagement surpassing 40%.
