GFA expected to dissolve Black Stars backroom staff

Sports Tribune sources report that the Black Stars will completely dissolve their backroom staff.
This is a consequence of the senior national team’s failure to qualify for the 2025 AFCON for the first time in 20 years.
Ghana’s six-game Group F campaign concluded with three wins, three draws, and a final position at the bottom of the table.
With the team’s failure to qualify for the tournament, the Football Association’s leadership is still deciding the technical team’s future.
Last month, they held a marathon meeting to review Otto Addo’s technical reports following the Black Stars’ poor performances.
Regarding Addo’s future, the country’s football authority stated that an external consultation will precede any decision, even though he signed a three-year deal this past March.
However, SportsTribune understands that the backroom staff is facing potential dissolution.
The Black Stars will return to 2026 World Cup qualifying matches next year, aiming for respectable performances. Their opponents for Matchdays five and six are Chad and Madagascar.
After four games, Ghana and Comoros are tied for first place in Group I of the qualifiers with nine points. Ghana is currently in second place.
