GFA has issued a one-year ban on officials from Real Tamale United

The GFA Disciplinary Committee has banned five Real Tamale United officials from football activities for one year.

The sanctions were imposed due to a significant regulation violation during the Matchday 28 game against Dreams FC at the Theatre of Dreams.

The banned officials are Iddi Manzah Alhassan, Abdul-Samed Iddrisu, Abdul-Gafaru Salifu, Tanko Jentumah, and Sylvester Yaw Apanka.

Due to the incident involving RTU using unregistered players to deceive match officials, the committee decided.

This misconduct was discovered to undermine the integrity and fairness of the competition.

By imposing these bans, the GFA demonstrates its commitment to upholding conduct standards and ensuring accountability in the sport, thereby ensuring a level playing field for all teams.

These one-year bans clearly and immediately enforce the value of ethical behavior in football administration, demonstrating the GFA’s uncompromising stance on misconduct.

The controversy began when RTU had no choice but to use unregistered players against Dreams FC due to their registered players’ refusal to travel.

The GFA Disciplinary Committee decided that the severity of the breach called for strict penalties despite the club’s admission of guilt and request for leniency, which they justified by saying that their actions were necessary.
