Andre Ayew, the former Black Stars captain, is convinced that Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus possesses the skill and flair to shine for any of Europe’s elite football clubs.
At just 25, Kudus dazzled fans with two standout seasons at West Ham United, following his leap from Dutch powerhouse Ajax to the Premier League.
The Ghanaian forward later signed with Tottenham Hotspur, another London club, but his journey has been hampered by persistent injuries that have stalled his momentum.
These fitness setbacks dealt a heavy blow, sidelining Kudus from representing Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.
Speaking on the Obi One Podcast, hosted by former Chelsea and Nigeria midfielder John Mikel Obi, Ayew expressed confidence in Kudus’ ability to perform at the highest level of European football.
“He’s got everything to be at the top,” Ayew said.
Ayew knows Kudus well, having played alongside him for Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
The ex-Marseille and Swansea City star insists that Kudus should focus first on a full recovery, rather than hurrying back into the intensity of competition.
Ayew encouraged the Tottenham attacker to stay patient during his rehabilitation and keep his sights set on regaining peak fitness.
“In my opinion, he is good enough to be in clubs like Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal, etc.,” Ayew added.
Kudus is now steadily working his way back, reportedly nearing full fitness as he aims to leave his injury woes behind and reclaim his top form.
