Bibiani Gold Stars have hired Swiss strategist Fritz Markus Schmid as their head coach.
The defending Ghana Premier League champions announced Schmid’s two-year contract on Monday, December 22.
“We’re happy to announce Fritz Markus Schmid, the Swiss international, is our new Head Coach, with a two-year contract”.
“Welcome to the family, Coach Fritz. We’re glad to have you with us,” Gold Stars said in a post on X.
Gold Stars’ new coach arrives with a remarkable pedigree, having served as assistant at Tottenham Hotspur, FC Basel, and the Austria National Team before leading the New Zealand Men’s National Team as head coach.
In his most recent role, he played a pivotal part in guiding Kotoku Royals to a celebrated promotion into the Ghana Premier League.
Now with Gold Stars, Fritz embarks on an inspiring journey fueled by ambition, steady progress, and the pursuit of lasting triumphs.
Currently, Gold Stars are in third place in the Ghana Premier League with 25 points, trailing leaders Aduana FC by only 3 points.
With his proven expertise, Fritz Markus Schmid is poised to steer the team into a fierce battle for the league title.
