Ghana’s Black Stars have fallen in the latest FIFA Coca-Cola ranking due to a string of winless matches in October.
The Black Stars dropped three spots to 73rd globally and are currently 14th in their continent.
The latest drop in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers occurred following a draw and loss to Sudan.
Ghana’s position slipped to 70th in September due to their poor performance in the AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger.
With no victories in Group F of the qualifiers, the four-time African champions risk missing out on the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Meanwhile, Comoros, the opponents in Ghana’s World Cup qualifier group, has seen a remarkable rise of ten places in the global rankings.
Argentina retained its top spot, with France, Spain, England, and Brazil making up the other top five.
Senegal, Egypt, Nigeria, Algeria, and Morocco are the top five countries in Africa.
Ghana’s upcoming matches against Angola and Niger will conclude the Nations Cup qualifiers for Morocco 2025.
