Right to Dream Academy founder Tom Vernon said Kamaldeen Sulemana is talented, like Vinicius Jr. and Jeremy Doku.
He says their skills are identical, despite the Ghanaian winger’s success.
Due to recurring injuries, Sulemana, 22, had a challenging season last season, making just 25 league appearances and 10 starts. Despite the obstacles, he delivered three assists for Southampton, contributing to their prompt return to the Premier League, despite not scoring.
While at Nordsjaelland and Rennes, Sulemana was recognized as one of the most promising talents worldwide. While recent injuries may have hindered his progress, Vernon maintains a positive outlook on Sulemana’s future, emphasizing the endurance of talent and potential.
“I think, you know, it’s the old expression: form is temporary, and class is permanent,” Vernon told Joy Sports. And for Kamal, if you watch Jeremy Doku or Vinicius Jr. training, their potential compared to Kamal, talking about a player in the same ballpark, obviously in certain phases of their development, pushed a little bit. But, with modern-day football, most footballers will still be playing when they’re 36 or 37.”
Vernon’s remarks showcase his faith in Sulemana’s lasting talent and ability to equal the accomplishments of others despite recent setbacks. Looking ahead, Sulemana is determined to overcome his injury troubles and live up to the potential he displayed early on in his career.
