Fulham and Arsenal have agreed on a deal for Emile Smith Rowe, with an initial fee of £27m and the possibility of £7m in additional payments.
According to sources, Smith Rowe’s signing with Fulham sets a new club record, with bonuses tied to Fulham’s achievements in Cup and European competitions.
As the deal was finalized, the 23-year-old was excluded from Arsenal’s last two pre-season games.
Smith Rowe, a beloved figure among supporters, has lost his place at Arsenal to Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, and Bukayo Saka.
The midfielder’s last England cap was in 2022, making it their third overall.
Italy defender Riccardo Calafiori has completed a move to Arsenal from Bologna for a possible £42m.
