Sudan is reportedly deep in negotiations to keep Ghanaian coach James Kwesi Appiah at the helm until 2029, aiming to secure his leadership well before his current contract ends in June 2028.
The Sudan Football Association is believed to be pushing for an extra year, eager to preserve momentum and continue the strides made under the former Ghana coach’s guidance.
This proposed extension signals the federation’s strong faith in Appiah’s leadership and its clear ambition to keep him at the helm of the national team.
Although negotiations are said to be progressing, the SFA has not officially confirmed an agreement or disclosed the terms of a new deal.
If both sides reach an agreement, Appiah will continue to lead Sudan’s national team through 2029.
