The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has released the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League calendar. The season will begin between September 4 and 7, 2026, and end between May 28 and 31, 2027.
The schedule aligns with FIFA’s international calendar to support effective planning, competitiveness, and operational efficiency throughout the domestic season.
After the GFA Congress on August 20, clubs will have adequate time to complete pre-season preparations before the new season begins.
As in the previous season, league matches will mainly take place on weekends, with midweek fixtures scheduled only for outstanding games. This approach aims to improve fixture consistency and reduce scheduling congestion.
The GFA states that the approved calendar demonstrates its commitment to a well-organized, competitive, and professionally managed league for clubs, players, officials, partners, and supporters nationwide.
