The Black Stars have secured at least $13.5 million in FIFA prize money after advancing to the Round of 32 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The four-time African champions advanced to the knockout stage by finishing third in Group L with four points from three matches.

FIFA has allocated a record $871 million in team payments for the tournament, including $655 million in performance-based prize money, $120 million in preparation funding, and additional support payments.

Each participating nation receives $2.5 million in preparation funding. Teams eliminated in the group stage earn $10 million in performance payments.

By reaching the Round of 32, Ghana is guaranteed $13.5 million, which includes a $2.5 million preparation fee and $11 million in performance prize money.

Performance payments increase at each stage: $15 million for the Round of 16, $19 million for the quarter-finals, $27 million for fourth place, $29 million for third, $33 million for runners-up, and $50 million for the champions.

The Black Stars will face Colombia in the Round of 32 on Saturday, July 4, at Kansas City Stadium.

The 2026 edition is the first FIFA World Cup to feature 48 teams and a Round of 32, adding an extra knockout stage and a new prize-money tier for advancing nations.
