Ghana international Abdul Baba Rahman has promised that the Black Stars will pour their hearts into every match, determined to make the nation beam with pride at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.
The tournament kicked off on June 11, and anticipation is building as Ghana prepares to launch its campaign against Panama on June 17 in a pivotal Group L opener.
The Black Stars are making their fifth appearance at football’s biggest tournament after qualifying for the expanded competition, co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
After their opener against Panama, Ghana will face England and Croatia, setting the stage for a fiercely competitive group-stage journey.
Speaking ahead of the tournament, Baba Rahman thanked Ghanaians for their unwavering support and assured fans that the team is fully committed to delivering strong performances.
“We appreciate the support and prayers from Ghanaians. We will fight with everything we have to make the country proud at the World Cup,” he told AshesGyamera.
The Black Stars step onto the world stage with a burning desire to reach the knockout rounds for the first time since their historic 2010 run to the quarter-finals in South Africa, the nation’s proudest football moment.
With appearances in 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2022 behind them, Ghana hopes the 2026 World Cup will spark a new era and propel them deep into the tournament once again.
