WAFU B U-17 Championships: We are optimistic about improved finishing against the Ivory Coast – Coach Ogum

Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, the Black Starlets coach, says they’ve improved their conversion rates at the WAFU B U-17 Championships.
Ghana and Togo played to a 1-1 draw in Yamoussoukro last week, marking the start of the tournament.
Dr. Ogum conceded that scoring has been tough, even if the team is making chances, before the Ivory Coast game.
“Creating the chance is not the problem. It’s about conversion, and because of that, we had a full session on goal scoring in our last training session,” he said.
The ex-WAFA boss elaborated on the team’s use of real-match simulations to enhance their finishing skills.
They recreated some of the game’s situations, and we worked on finishing in our final training session. The conversion was good at training, and I’m sure our conversion against the Ivory Coast will be better,” Dr Ogum added.
The Charles Konan Banny Stadium will host the game, starting at 18:00 GMT.
