Kevin De Bruyne leaves Manchester City after 10 years

After a decade with Manchester City, midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has revealed he’s moving on.

A reported €76 million brought De Bruyne to City from Wolfsburg in 2015.

For the past ten years, the 33-year-old has been the main force behind Manchester City’s success in both the Premier League and Champions League.

De Bruyne’s social media post started with: “Manchester, I’ll be leaving Manchester City in a few months.” Nothing about this is easy to write, but as football players, we all know this day eventually comes. That day is here – and you deserve to hear it from me first,” he wrote.

“This city. This club. These people gave me everything. I had no choice but to give everything back! And guess what – we won everything. Whether we like it or not, it’s time to say goodbye. Every story comes to an end but this has definitely been the best chapter. Let’s enjoy these last moments together,” he added.

De Bruyne’s Manchester City career was filled with many trophies, including a Champions League, six Premier Leagues, two FA Cups, five League Cups, and two Community Shields.

This midfielder’s Premier League stats are 70 goals and 118 assists.

With his amazing passing skills, he’s second only to Ryan Giggs on the Premier League’s all-time assists list.

De Bruyne’s league-leading stats since his 2015 debut include 827 chances created, 193 big chances created, and 117 assists.
