CAF Champions League draw: Al Ahly and Al Hilal to face off in CAF Champions League quarterfinals

CAF has announced the draws for the quarterfinals and semifinals of the 2024-25 CAF Champions League.

On Thursday evening, the beIN Sports headquarters in Doha, Qatar, hosted the eagerly awaited draw.
South African sides Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns, and Stellenbosch FC sought to evade local rivalries in the competition’s early stages, eagerly awaiting the draw.
With matchups set, the African Champions League quarterfinals are poised for thrilling action.
The African Champions League title holders, Al Ahly from Egypt, will face off against Al Hilal from Sudan in the quarterfinals.
Determined to make history as the first three-time consecutive champions, twelve-time winners Al Ahly aim for the title despite finishing second in their group.
Meanwhile, Pyramids FC of Egypt, renowned for their attacking style, will face AS FAR, a Moroccan powerhouse.
Esperance, winners of the Tunisian Super Cup and four-time champions who topped their group will play against Mamelodi Sundowns, a South African giant.
The last quarterfinal game will be between MC Alger and Orlando Pirates. The Pirates (1995 champions) are competing to reach the semifinals for the first time since 2013.
