I don’t view GFA as a problem—Kofi Adams

Sports and Recreation Minister Kofi Adams has promised to cooperate with the GFA to address football’s challenges.
The Black Stars’ recent AFCON qualification failure, following back-to-back group stage exits in Cameroon and Ivory Coast, highlights a two-decade low point for the nation’s football.
Despite challenges, Mr. Adams affirmed his commitment to reviving Ghana’s football in an Asempa FM interview, viewing the Football Association not as an obstacle but as a partner in resolving hindering issues.
“I don’t see GFA as a problem. I see everyone as a solution to our challenge, and that will be my approach,” he said.
Our approach may have been unsuccessful. Some of the things done in the past will not be done again.
“We will engage, and the outcome will be made known to the public,” he added.
Meanwhile, Kofi Adams will meet with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) this week to discuss the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
