The Ghana FA is imminently making an announcement regarding the future of Black Stars head coach Otto Addo and his technical team.
Ghana’s failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations is a major setback, representing one of the team’s worst recent performances.
GFA Communications Director Henry Asante Twum announced the completion of consultations with stakeholders, including the Ministry of Sports and other partners. The submitted recommendations await review by the GFA Executive Committee.
In his interview on Akoma 87.9 FM, Asante Twum reported that consultations regarding Otto Addo and his coaching staff have concluded.
“There have been differing opinions from the government, ministry, partners, and the coaching staff. Recommendations have been made, and the FA will soon announce the decision regarding the coach and his team.”
Following Ghana’s historically poor AFCON qualifying campaign, Otto Addo has faced a surge in criticism.
Ghana’s national team will now focus on qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, playing Chad and Madagascar in March 2025.
The GFA’s upcoming decision is vital to the team’s rebuilding efforts and their quest to regain competitiveness.
