Stephen Amankona wins his second Golden Boot with 15 goals

Stephen Amankona of Berekum Chelsea won the Ghana Premier League Golden Boot for a second consecutive time in the 2024/25 season, scoring 15 goals.
The 25-year-old forward beat Asante Kotoko’s Albert Amoah, a 12-goal scorer. Despite scoring four fewer goals than his award-winning 19-goal season, Amankonah’s consistent goal-scoring ability was again impressive.
Amankonah has proven himself to be one of the most reliable forwards in domestic football, leading the league in goals for the second consecutive season. A four-season streak of impressive results culminated in this year’s achievement.
Having won back-to-back Golden Boots, Amankonah is likely to attract significant interest from clubs during the transfer window. Clubs in Ghana and abroad are reportedly keeping a close eye on him, suggesting a big move may be in the works.
After a successful season with Berekum Chelsea, the prolific striker has earned another well-deserved individual award.
