Ghana University to host CAF Schools Football Championship

The University of Ghana Stadium is the new venue for the CAF African Schools Football Championship, which will take place April 21-26, 2025.
The plan was to hold the preliminary rounds at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram and the University of Ghana Stadium finals. However, CAF has now centralized all tournament matches at the University of Ghana.
A unified championship location improves coordination and logistics for all involved parties.
National school teams from 46 countries, including CAF’s six-zone winners and Ghana, will compete in the tournament. The $650,000 prize pool will be distributed as follows: $300,000 to the winner, $200,000 to the runner-up, and $150,000 to the third-place finisher.
For the first time, a West African country will host the competition, following South Africa (2023) and Tanzania (2024).
