Moving to Kotoko is a dream: Albert Amoah

The newly signed attacker for Asante Kotoko, Albert Amoah, has called his transfer a dream come true.
To strengthen their team, Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has made some new signings ahead of the season, with the latest addition being a former Great Olympics attacker.
During an interview, the 22-year-old forward shared that his mother, a dedicated Kotoko fan, inspired his lifelong desire to play for the club.
“As the only footballer in my family, it has always been my desire to rise to the pinnacle of the game,” Amoah said.
Amoah is fully aware of the high expectations left by previous Kotoko attackers like Eric Bekoe, Steven Mukwala, and Georges Mfegue.
“I know the standard some of the past strikers have set for the club, and it is my time to continue from where they left it. I have to justify why they signed me and not come and disgrace myself,” he stated, showing his deep respect for the legacy of past strikers.
The former striker of Great Olympics has expressed his unwavering determination to support Kotoko in their quest to regain their previous success. He emphasized his dedication to hard work and his readiness to create a significant impact, instilling hope and optimism in the fans.
“Joining the Porcupine family is a great honor. I am going to work hard to ensure the team returns to its glorious days,” Amoah declared, reaffirming his commitment to the team’s success and instilling confidence in his abilities.
Amoah’s conversations with Coach Ogum significantly impacted his decision to join Asante Kotoko. According to him, the coach, who had been impressed by Amoah’s) performances, saw potential in the young striker’s style of play, and believed it suited the team’s philosophy for the upcoming season.
Amoah explained that the coach has watched some of his matches and believes he can make a difference in the team’s philosophy this season, so he wants to give him a chance to come and assist.
