WORLD CUP 2026: Queiroz: Ghana to take the game to Croatia

Ghana’s head coach Carlos Queiroz says the Black Stars are aiming for a win against Croatia, even though a draw would be enough to reach the Round of 32 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Ghana goes into their crucial Group L match after beating Panama 1-0 and earning a goalless draw with England, so their chances of qualifying are in their own hands.

Even though a draw would be enough to reach the knockout stage, Queiroz says his team will not play defensively.

“There is a lot of talk about attack and defense, but I only know how to play to win, and that’s what we will do against Croatia,” the Portuguese coach said.

The Black Stars know that a good result at Lincoln Financial Field will secure their spot in the Round of 32, but Queiroz has made it clear they are going for all three points instead of just settling for a draw.
