Bournemouth and Tottenham have completed a £65m agreement for Dominic Solanke, the striker.
Spurs’ initial payment in the deal is £55m, with an additional £10m in potential bonuses.
Solanke has signed a contract that will keep him at the club until 2030, and he will attend Tottenham’s pre-season friendly against Bayern Munich on Saturday.
The contract clause of £65m for the 26-year-old Solanke would activate if a prominent Premier League club made an offer.
Solanke, who netted 19 Premier League goals last season, could not participate in Bournemouth’s pre-season friendly against Rayo Vallecano last weekend due to a foot injury.
When he spoke to the media, Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou highlighted the need for another center-forward option. “You know we play a certain way. We demand certain things from a physical perspective, from the technical aspects of them. It’s going to be a striker who fits that mould.
“It’s still the area of the park. We’re the thinnest when I talk about squad-wise at the moment, so obviously, that’s our focus.
