President John Dramani Mahama has tasked the Minister of Sports and Recreation, Mr. Kofi Adams, to rebuild Ghana’s lost reputation.

During the swearing-in ceremony, the president made the call, allowing Kofi Adams to begin work formally on Friday, February 7.
“Minister of Sports and Recreation, the Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams, your position is one neither of us envies. You are responsible for elevating Ghana’s status in African and global athletics. There is no longer any tolerance for the disarray in Ghanaian athletics. You are expected to provide professionalism, openness, and modernism to the sector’s management, which is befitting a country with our provenance.”
“I expect that you will concentrate on building all the sports disciplines, and I know the Ghana Football Association will be a good place to start working to make sure that we return Black Stars to their glory days,” the president stated.
He called on Kofi Adams to modernize, professionalize, and bring transparency to the sector’s management.
President Mahama also directed the Sports Minister to revive the country’s sporting glory.
