Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon has secured his future at St James’ Park by signing a new long-term contract, removing any uncertainty about a possible move.
The 23-year-old, who joined Everton in January 2023 and was previously linked to Liverpool, has become a crucial player for Eddie Howe’s team. He has scored 15 goals and provided 11 assists in 74 matches.
Gordon expressed his belief that the club is in an excellent state, discussing his renewed dedication.” Since the takeover, it’s just been up and up. The gaffer and I are a perfect match in style of play. I love it here.
“I’m very happy here. I like living here, and the team is very suited to me. I’m here to win a trophy. The short story is we need to win a trophy.
“Winning a trophy here would be unbelievable because the fans have waited so long. To be part of that team who finally does it is a massive goal of mine.”
