Black Stars unveil squad numbers for 2026 World Cup

The Black Stars have officially unveiled their squad numbers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi set to continue as Ghana’s number one for the tournament in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Captain Jordan Ayew will retain his customary number 9 jersey, while Brandon Thomas-Asante has been handed the iconic number 10 shirt. In-form forward Antoine Semenyo will wear number 11.

Among the goalkeepers, Joseph Anang has been assigned the number 12 jersey, while Benjamin Asare has been assigned the number 16.

In defense, Derrick Luckassen, who was drafted into the squad following Alexander Djiku’s injury, will wear number 23.

Midfield stalwart Thomas Partey keeps his familiar number 5 shirt, while Gideon Mensah, Kwasi Sibo, Caleb Yirenkyi, and Baba Abdul Rahman have been allocated numbers 14, 8, 3, and 17, respectively, as Ghana prepares for its fifth FIFA World Cup appearance.
