Asante Kotoko SC has set its sights on six promising players, aiming to inject fresh energy into the squad ahead of the upcoming transfer window and to strengthen its league campaign.

Karim Zito hasn’t been able to build his ideal squad due to injuries, resulting in makeshift lineups.

An Asante Kotoko SC insider revealed to SPORTS TRIBUNE that Abdul Karim Zito told officials he needs experienced players in the second transfer window to win the Premier League or MTN FA Cup.

He told the Interim Management Committee (IMC) about signing six players for the rest of the campaign to create a squad able to achieve his tactical goals.

For Zito to win the title, he will need to figure things out with 13 injured Reds players. The squad will be bolstered by the confirmed signings of a defensive midfielder, striker, and attacking midfielder.

Kotoko are currently 3rd in the Premier League standings with 24 points, trailing Aduana Stars FC by three points, and have advanced to the MTN FA Cup’s round of 32, winning 2-1 against Future Stars FC.
