The Ghana Premier League title race has shifted after Medeama SC drew 0-0 with Swedru All Blacks on Sunday at Swedru Sports Stadium.
Medeama faced a challenging away match against a disciplined Swedru All Blacks team. Although Medeama controlled portions of the game and created some opportunities, they were unable to score. Swedru All Blacks defended well and limited clear chances, resulting in a goalless draw.
The draw leaves Medeama with 46 points at the top of the table, but their lead has narrowed to one point. Reigning champions Bibiani Gold Stars FC are now second with 45 points.
Earlier in the season, Medeama led with strong attacking and defensive performances. However, recent dropped points have allowed competitors to close the gap, making the title race much closer.
This shift in momentum is significant. With a reduced margin for error, each remaining match is crucial. Medeama must improve their finishing to maintain their lead over a confident Gold Stars side.
