2025/26 Ghana Premier League: Week 24 Match Report – Bechem United 0-0 Karela United

Bechem United and Karela United played to a scoreless tie on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Stadium.

Bechem United aimed to return to winning form and secure consecutive home victories, while Karela United sought their fourth consecutive win.

The opening half saw both teams probing cautiously, with only a handful of clear chances as attacking rhythm proved elusive. After the break, the tempo quickened, but finishing touches remained just out of reach for both sides.

Karela’s Zakaria Abdulai came agonizingly close to breaking the deadlock, his header from inside the box drifting just wide. Moments later, Karela’s keeper Daniel Afadzwu pulled off a vital save after a slip from Eric Antwi nearly gifted Bechem United a goal.

Drama peaked in the 88th minute when Bechem United’s Rasco Abassah London was sent off, handing Karela a late numerical edge. Yet, despite the advantage, Karela could not find a breakthrough, and Bechem United dug deep to secure a hard-fought draw.

Karela remain seventh with 35 points, while Bechem United drop to 12th with 30 points.

Bechem United will next travel to Abrankese to face Nations FC, while Karela returns home to take on Asante Kotoko.
