Berekum Chelsea improved their chances of staying in the league with a strong 3-1 win against Eleven Wonders.

The home team began strongly and was quickly successful, though the away team scored first against the odds. Berekum’s fans were stunned in the 15th minute by William Danquah’s clinical finish, giving the underdog a surprise lead.

Chelsea quickly answered, and two minutes later got a golden chance from a penalty. In the 17th minute, Prince Anane scored a penalty to equalise and calm the home fans. From then on, the Bibires were confident, holding the ball and pushing Wonders back.

Chelsea needed the second half to capitalise on their chances and show their superiority, despite early openings. Their efforts were rewarded in the 63rd minute when Musah scored and put the hosts ahead.

Despite a late effort, Wonders couldn’t threaten Chelsea’s defence. A goal by Kwasi Sorotu Badori in the 90th minute extinguished comeback hopes.

In other results, Swedru All Blacks shared the honours with Karela United, drawing 1-1, and Basake Holy Stars defeated Hohoe United 2-0.
