Ghana’s men’s 4x100m relay team missed out on a spot in the final at the 2026 World Relays, finishing fourth in Heat 3 with a time of 38.19 seconds.
The quartet of Abdul-Rasheed Samini, Benjamin Azamati, Joseph Paul Amoah, and Edwin Gadayi gave a determined performance. Gadayi joined the team late, stepping in for Ibrahim Fuseini and Isaac Botsio.
Although they faced a strong field, Ghana could not secure a qualification spot, as the top teams in the heat advanced to the final.
This result ends Ghana’s immediate hopes of winning a medal in the men’s 4x100m event, even though the team has a strong reputation in relay races across Africa.
The team will now look ahead to possible repechage opportunities or other upcoming competitions as they regroup and aim to build momentum for future international meets.
