Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah has committed to a new five-year contract.
The 21-year-old has earned respect as part of the Liverpool first-team squad, starting with the opening day victory against Ipswich and the Carabao Cup win over West Ham.
The Liverpool academy graduate, who renewed his Reds contract in May 2023, has been benched in the last six Premier League matches and the two Champions League wins against AC Milan and Bologna.
Quansah’s first significant club honor came when he won the Carabao Cup last season. Additionally, he was selected for the provisional England Euro 2024 squad.
Despite attracting interest in the summer transfer window, Liverpool said they would not allow him to leave and have now secured his long-term commitment.
At the same time, Liverpool is in discussions with Ibrahima Konate, a fellow center-back, regarding a new contract.
There is no urgency to agree, as his current deal remains in effect until 2026.
