Ghanaian football legend Asamoah Gyan will shine as a member of SuperSport’s illustrious punditry team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The legendary former Black Stars captain, Africa’s all-time top scorer at the FIFA World Cup, will bring his expert insights to fans throughout the tournament, which began on June 11 and spans the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Gyan steps into a distinguished circle of African football greats, including Salomon Kalou, William Troost-Ekong, and Siphiwe Tshabalala. The panel is further enriched by former internationals Bongani Khumalo, Teko Modise, Amanda Dlamini, Stanton Fredericks, Shaun Bartlett, Jimmy Tau, and Simphiwe Dludlu.
This African contingent will collaborate with celebrated global football icons like John Terry, Bacary Sagna, and Roberto Di Matteo.
SuperSport says this expanded team of analysts is set to deliver comprehensive coverage and expert perspectives throughout a historic tournament that, for the first time, features 48 nations and is the largest World Cup ever staged.
The broadcaster has also announced that all 104 matches will be broadcast across its DStv platforms, allowing subscribers from DStv Access to DStv Premium to catch every thrilling moment of the tournament.
