Hearts of Oak are out of the MTN FA Cup following their penalty shootout defeat

Accra Hearts of Oak were eliminated from the MTN FA Cup competition with a 4-3 penalty loss to Golden Kick of the Division One League.
The match proceeded to a penalty shootout following a scoreless draw at the University of Ghana Stadium.
Michael Ampadu’s assist put Kwabena Boateng (Hearts) in a position to score in the 15th minute, but his attempt went just wide. Eleven minutes later, the Golden Kick goalkeeper stopped Boateng’s promising attempt.
Following Theophilus Collins’ second yellow card for a foul, Hearts faced a tougher challenge in the second half.
Hearts’ goalkeeper Benjamin Asare made a vital save in the dying minutes, preventing Golden Kick from clinching victory.
Because the match ended in a scoreless draw, penalties decided the winner. Both Asamoah Boateng and Samuel Amofa failed to score their penalty kicks, unlike Golden Kick, who scored four and advanced, eliminating the Phobians.
