Ghana Premier League club Accra Lions FC and head coach Ibrahim Tanko have mutually agreed to part ways as Tanko pursues other endeavors.
Tanko’s commitment and contributions to the team’s development, which was instrumental to the club’s growth, earned him respect.
Tanko smoothly transitioned coaching duties to Rainer Kraft, an experienced German trainer returning to the club.
Having led Accra Lions to the Ghana Premier League between 2019 and 2021, Kraft is familiar with the club’s commitment to talent development and elite competition.
Tanko highlighted the strong team bond and expressed his pride in his time with the club.
He explained that despite focusing on other ventures, his commitment to the team remains strong, and he’ll always offer support to the club.
Accra Lions sincerely appreciated Ibrahim Tanko’s service, leaving the door open for a possible return.
Under Rainer Kraft’s renewed leadership, the club is focused on talent development and success in the Ghana Premier League.
