The General Manager of FC Samartex, Edmund Ackah, announced that the club has started their preseason on July 1, 2024, as they gear up for the 2024/25 CAF Champions League.

Just two weeks after their historic win in the 2023–24 Ghana Premier League season, where they clinched their first title in only their second top-flight season, FC Samartex has already begun their preseason for the 2024–25 CAF Champions League.

Their victory secured their place as Ghana’s representatives in the CAF Champions League.

“We’re not wasting any time. Preseason will start again on Monday within the next few weeks. We’re starting early because the next game in the Champions League is on August 16, and we’re too excited to wait,” Edmund Ackah revealed at the Ghana Football Awards on Saturday.

“We require a minimum of six to eight weeks to prepare for the initial stage. And for that matter, the preseason. So, we are camping in the Eastern Region, training at our favorite Safari Valley. It’s where we have been camping for the past three seasons for our preseason.”

After the draw, FC Samartex will find out who they will be facing in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary stage.
