Man City begin Champions League bid against Inter

Manchester City, the Premier League champion, will meet Inter Milan on September 18th for the opening match of the Champions League this season. This match will be a replay of the 2023 final that occurred in Istanbul.
Arsenal’s campaign begins with a trip to Atalanta on September 19th.
Aston Villa, making a comeback after almost four decades, will face Young Boys in Switzerland on September 17th.
The Scottish Premiership champions Celtic will face Slovan Bratislava in their first match on September 18th. They will then play an away game against Borussia Dortmund, the beaten 2024 finalists, on October 1st.
Arsenal’s second game in the new ‘league phase’ will be against Paris St-Germain, which will take place on the same day that Villa plays against Bayern Munich at Villa Park on October 2nd.
Arne Slot’s Liverpool will host Bayer Leverkusen and Real Madrid at Anfield on 5 and 27 November, respectively. The Gunners will visit Inter on November 6th.
The city’s penultimate league game will be against PSG on January 22nd, while Villa will welcome the Celtics on Match Day 8.
The final league phase games for all teams will start at 20:00 on Wednesday, January 29th.
In the new Champions League format, each team now has eight games to play, a departure from the previous structure.
