Juventus claims their English X account was breached following the publication of a false post that announced the signing of Real Madrid midfielder Arda Guler.
The caption “Welcome to Juventus, Arda Guler” accompanied a photo of the 19-year-old Turkish international at an airport.
However, the Serie A club later explained on their Italian X account that their English account had been “compromised” and instructed them to disregard the “false information” published.
Juventus would be able to sign Guler in January since the transfer windows in Spain and Italy are closed.
Fenerbahce signed Guler, also known as the “Turkish Messi,” in July 2023 for a rumored sum of about £16.7 million.
He was featured in 23 games for the Spanish club and was selected for the Turkish team in Euro 2024.
In Turkey’s 3-1 victory over Georgia, the teenager became the youngest player to score on his European Championship debut
