Villa signs Rashford on Loan deal

Aston Villa has signed Marcus Rashford on loan from Manchester United.
The club has signed a 27-year-old on a deal lasting until the season concludes, containing a buyout clause.
Insiders report that the agreement ensures a minimum of 75% coverage of Rashford’s wages.
In an Instagram post, Rashford expressed gratitude to Manchester United and Aston Villa for the loan deal.
“I was lucky to have a few clubs approach me, but Aston Villa was an easy decision – I admire how Aston Villa has been playing this season and the manager’s ambitions. I want to play football and am excited about getting started.
“I wish everyone at Manchester United all the best for the rest of the season.”
Following his December omission from the Manchester derby, England’s Rashford declared his readiness for a new challenge.
A loan move for Spanish midfielder Marco Asensio from Paris St-Germain to Villa is imminent.
Following Villa’s 2-0 loss to Wolves Saturday, manager Unai Emery stated the team requires new players.
Levante’s Andres Garcia and Borussia Dortmund’s Donyell Malen, a Spanish full-back and the Netherlands forward, respectively, joined the team in January. Nevertheless, Aston Villa offloaded striker Jhon Duran to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr for a £71m fee and sold center-back Diego Carlos to Fenerbahce for about £8.45m.
Unfortunately, England striker Ollie Watkins was injured on Saturday, forcing Aston Villa to play central midfielder Boubacar Kamara at center-back due to injuries to Pau Torres and Tyrone Mings.
