Arsenal’s Gabriel Magalhaes has extended his stay, signing a new four-year contract.
SportsTribune understands that the 27-year-old has extended his contract with Arsenal until 2029 despite his previous deal expiring in 2027.
A key player for Mikel Arteta, Gabriel is one of Arsenal’s longest-serving players, having joined from Lille in 2020 for £27m.
With 210 appearances and 20 goals across all competitions, he’s formed a formidable defensive duo with William Saliba and proven a potent set-piece threat.

He expressed his happiness and pride in his development over nearly five years upon signing a new contract.
“I hope I win some trophies with this club because I love this club, and my family loves the club, too. “Arsenal is an amazing club and I’m so proud to sign a new contract. I love this club, I love the supporters, my teammates, I love this stadium. I’m so proud, and thank you for all the support. “We’ve done a lot of good things, and now it’s time to win some trophies. We continue together for the future.”
Gabriel’s hamstring injury required surgery in April, causing him to miss the last two months of Arsenal’s campaign.
Arsenal reportedly plans to offer new contracts to several players this summer, including William Saliba and Bukayo Saka.
Arsenal revealed earlier this week that midfield player Jorginho and defender Kieran Tierney will depart following the expiry of their contracts at month’s end.
Midfielder Thomas Partey’s contract is expiring soon, but discussions for a renewal are underway.
