Ghana international Felix Afena-Gyan has pledged to produce even better performances next season after completing his loan spell with Turkish side Amedspor.
The 23-year-old forward spent the 2025/26 campaign with the club and played an important role in their promotion to the Turkish Super Lig.
With his loan over, Afena-Gyan will return to parent club Cremonese ahead of the new season. He aims to build on an encouraging year in Turkey.
The former AS Roma striker made 35 appearances in all competitions for Amedspor. He scored five goals and provided six assists in the Turkish First League.
Speaking to Citi Sports, Afena-Gyan promised Ghanaian fans that his best is yet to come.
“Ghanaians should expect more from me in the new season because that’s the job I have to do,” he said.
Afena-Gyan burst onto the scene during his time at Roma, where he announced himself with a memorable brace against Genoa in Serie A under José Mourinho, earning recognition as one of Ghana’s brightest young prospects.
Injuries and stiff competition have slowed his progress in recent years. However, the striker remains determined to revive his career.
After an impressive loan spell at Amedspor, Afena-Gyan will now aim to establish himself at Cremonese while strengthening his chances of earning a regular place in Ghana’s Black Stars squad for future international competitions.
