Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz says nearly his whole squad is fit and ready for Saturday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup Round of 32 match against Colombia.
The Black Stars will face Colombia at Kansas City Stadium, with a spot in the Round of 16 up for grabs in what should be a tough match.
At his pre-match press conference on Thursday, Queiroz shared that just one player will miss the game due to injury.
“Regarding injuries, 25 players are ready to play against Colombia. The only player who did not recover in time is Kojo Oppong Peprah,” he said.
The OGC Nice defender is out after not recovering from an injury picked up in training. The 22-year-old played in Ghana’s group-stage games against England and Croatia, bringing calm and speed to the defense.
Other than Peprah, Queiroz has a full squad to pick from as Ghana gets ready for one of their toughest games of the tournament.
The Black Stars hope to reach the Round of 16 by beating Colombia and keep their strong World Cup run going.
Kick-off is set for 01:30 GMT on Saturday at Kansas City Stadium.
